Make Your Diploma Stand Out

Prepare and defend a substantive thesis your senior year and graduate with a stellar GPA, and your diploma will reflect this, noted as graduating “with honors in (your chosen field).”

Students take an area of their field they find fascinating and do deep and rich research on it for their thesis.

Past projects have covered a wide variety of topics:

  • Kinship and the State: An African-American Family, 1880-1994
  • The Snake in Ancient Art
  • The Vietnam Film in Popular Culture
  • Future of the Intelligence Agencies in the Post-Cold War Period
  • Behavioral and Physiological Effects of Vitamin E Deficiency in Rats
  • Jung’s Image of God

Students must have completed at least 48 credits of study at Drew to be eligible for specialized honors and they may only work on an honors thesis in their last two semesters at Drew.
