MLK Day of Service

Celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?  – Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Drew celebrates the ongoing legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with an annual day of dialogue and service.  The Drew community is continually honored by the Rev. Dr.’s visit in 1964, and strives to actualize his values of genuine community engagement to ensure that quality of life and justice are achieved for all Americans.

In January 2022, MLK Day was celebrated in virtual and in-person formats.  In addition to participating in service activities, Drew community members joined a virtual talk presented by Dr. Kesha Moore: “From a System of Fear to a System of Care: What Prisons Teach Us About Love, Community, and Justice,” via Zoom at 5:30pm.
