Christopher Andrews is an associate professor of sociology with expertise in organizations, occupations and work. He authored several articles on the use of technology in retail and hiring. His recent book, The Overworked Consumer: Self-Checkouts, Supermarkets, and the Do-It-Yourself Economy (2018), received the 2020 Bela Kornitzer Award.
