Drew Gives Thanks

Day of Gratitude sparks student messages.

February 2018 – The Ehinger Center got a major makeover for Drew University’s annual Day of Gratitude, comprised entirely of Drew pride.

The walls were lined with hand-written signs from students and staff who stopped by to express what they were most grateful for, including friends, professors, mentors, donors, coaches, sports teams and programs like RISE. Beyond the signs, there were balloons, buttons, hacky sacks and a big screen displaying the steady stream of messages that the Drew community submitted to an online virtual message board throughout the day.

For Mason Scher C’20, it was an empowering moment. “In addition to giving thanks, we’re able to see all of the amazing things Drew students are currently doing and all the areas that Drew has prepared graduates to succeed in,” said Scher, who is both a Civic Scholar and Baldwin Honors Scholar. “I’m always proud to be a Drew student and Day of Gratitude certainly added to my list of why.” Here’s a closer look.
