Learn how teachers and academics can use websites to connect with others and get their work out there. This workshop will cover the basics of design, including considering audience, navigation, layout, and accessibility, as well as hosting and content management options.

 

Monday, February 13, 2023 | Using Artifactual Literacy/Objects to Approach Math 

The workshop will provide teachers with an opportunity to explore math through the idea of artifactual literacy and discuss the potential and importance of using artifacts/objects to create a deeper connection with students’ cultures and identities as mathematicians.

Learn how to get to know your students, have your students get to know each other, and learn about how objects tell a story.

Monday, April 17, 2023 | Gamification in Academic Contexts 

Gamification is not just about playing games; it involves effective strategies to engage and motivate our students. In this workshop we will cover effective gamification strategies, the psychology behind it, and create or redesign a lesson to incorporate these concepts.
