With Drew’s 2021-2022 academic year taking place on campus and in person, we are looking forward to the Center for Global Education resuming its regular activity, too.
The global pandemic has demanded new ways of operating and a universal change in the way we approach international travel. Drew’s International Travel Oversight Committee (ITOC), which oversees health and safety protocols for the Center for Global Education, recognizes that student mobility in the time of COVID requires a specific set of criteria to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risk so that we can both respond to elevated alert levels and still allow students to engage in these valuable immersive experiences. In addition to our standard health and safety protocols, we have developed a set of operational guidelines for all programs with respect to COVID-19. All programs will be expected to demonstrate that they are able to meet these guidelines in order to be considered for approval by ITOC.
The protocols listed here address the key elements of the student experience and are designed to help students, faculty and staff return to education abroad in a way that prioritizes the health and safety of all participants.
