Dear Drew community,
Welcome back to another semester at Drew. I hope that everyone had a restful break and holiday season.
Last year was a memorable one for Drew, marked by praise as a top school in the nation and state by outlets like The Princeton Review, Washington Monthly, and U.S. News & World Report; impressive outcomes from the Class of 2022, and incredible acceptance rates of recent grads pursuing medical, dental, and veterinary graduate degrees; the Rev. Dr. Edwin David Aponte being named Dean of the Theological School; the continued growth and evolution of the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies; the announced addition of track & field teams to the Rangers athletics program; a new public health Dual-Degree program; and an exciting run on Jeopardy! by Associate Professor and Chair of Biology Brianne Barker.
We will look to build on these achievements in 2023 and continue to create a bright future for Drew and our students.
As I have every semester, I must reiterate the importance of vigilance against COVID-19 and seasonal illnesses like the flu, which continue to impact our lives and campus. I encourage you to reference this email from the Health Service and heed the important advice to help keep yourselves and our community, families, and friends healthy and safe.
Have a great spring semester.
Sincerely,
Tom Schwarz
