Information for Faculty.
Faculty members mentor students on a research project during the DSSI program period and ensure that the students fulfill the programmatic elements of DSSI. The students’ research-in-progress is presented once during the program and then a final presentation occurs at Drew’s Day of Scholars in the spring. Faculty also attend the weekly group meetings during which student groups present.
The faculty stipend is $250 per week.
Tenure-track faculty who have never had a DSSI project receive highest funding priority. Those faculty members who have their own research funding or departmental funds to support mentored research will also be able to take part in the program.
Once you and a student agree to propose a DSSI project, your student will fill out a student application form. This form will ask for details about the project that the student will complete under your mentorship. The Director will contact you about additional details.
