Drew University to Welcome Maggie Haberman to Drew Forum

Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times White House correspondent and CNN political analyst

October 2021 – Drew University will host Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times White House correspondent and CNN political analyst Maggie Haberman in the first Drew Forum event of the season.

The virtual event will be held on Wednesday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m., with registration required.

With a uniquely informed perspective having closely covered and built a complex relationship with President Donald Trump, Haberman will discuss the nation’s most explosive era of modern journalism.

Following her talk, Haberman will take questions from the audience in a Q&A session moderated by Lisa Lynch, associate professor and director of Drew’s media and communications program.

In 2018, Haberman and her New York Times team received the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for their coverage of the Trump administration, the administration’s transition to the White House, and the alleged Russian tampering in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election and campaigns. This reporting also earned Haberman’s team the Aldo Beckman Award from the White House Correspondents’ Association.

Prior to her current roles, Haberman covered City Hall for the New York Daily News, the 2008 U.S. Presidential campaign and other political races for the New York Post, and national affairs for Politico.
