Fall Orientation

Fall Orientation

August 25-28, 2022

We're So Excited to Meet You!

Fall New Student Orientation will take place in-person, on campus from August 25-28, 2022. Click the link below to view the full schedule of events.

Fall Orientation is a time for you to engage with the individuals and resources available to you on campus at Drew as a new community member. Connections begin to form with classmates, other Drew students, faculty, staff and the campus as a whole. The activities planned during Fall Orientation will assist students as they begin their transition to life at Drew; this includes getting familiar with the campus landscape, meeting fellow Drew students and making new friends. The experiences and memories you’ll have during orientation will last a lifetime.

If you have a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to fully participate in this event, please contact Dana Giroux before August 25th, 2022 via email at dgiroux@drew.edu or telephone at 973-408-3962 to discuss your accessibility needs.

New Student Move-in Instructions

The move-in appointment calendar for all new first year and transfer students living on campus for the Fall 2022 semester is linked below. If you have not yet done so, please view your housing assignment by visiting your housing portal: drew.edu/housingportal.

Thursday, August 25, 2022 is Move-in Day! Move-in times begin at 9:30 a.m. and will run every 30 minutes as scheduled on the appointment calendar (Calendly) linked below. The time you sign up for is your arrival time, which is when you are to pick up your key from Residence Life. There is no end time to your move-in appointment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL MOVE-IN:

When you arrive on campus on August 25, 2022, please enter campus through the Lancaster Road campus entrance at your scheduled move-in time.

We encourage someone other than you (the student) drive your vehicle onto campus as the Drew student will need to step out of the car to pick up your key, ID card, and New Student Orientation name tag. Once you pick up these items, you will return to your car to then drive up to the residence halls, as instructed by our Campus Security staff.

Once you are brought to your residence hall, you will have a few minutes to unload your belongings, then begin to move-into your residence hall. Please be sure to label your boxes/large items (painter's tape works great!) with your last name, building name, and room number. This way, if one of your items is misplaced, it can be returned to you!

After your vehicle has been emptied, you will be instructed to move your vehicle away from the residence hall. You may park your vehicle in a designated parking space for the duration of your guests' time on campus.

The Commons dining hall will be open for lunch on move-in day, so be sure to stop in to take a break and enjoy some lunch!

Not a resident, but want to live on campus? If you have not signed up for housing, but you would like to, please complete the housing application found on the drew.edu/housingportal by August 15, 2022! Housing requests received after August 15 may be delayed in processing due to our preparations for the fall semester move-in.
