MADISON, N.J. – Drew University Men's Basketball Head Coach
Michael McSloy has been selected as the
HoopDirt.com Division III Coach of the Week, presented by Just Play Solutions.
McSloy led Drew to a pair of double-digit comebacks this week as the Rangers (10-3, 6-0 LC) took over sole possession of first place in the Landmark Conference.
Hosting Susquehanna on Wednesday, the Rangers trailed by as many as 11 in the first half, but fought back and eventually pulled away late to take an 82-68 victory.
Drew then hit the road to close out the week with a matchup at No. 21 Catholic. Down 16 with just over 10 minutes remaining, the Rangers were able to cut into the deficit, but still found themselves trailing by eight with just one minute to go. Drew then went on a 11-3 run, including a buzzer-beating three from sophomore guard
Eli Yusavage, to force overtime in an eventual 76-71 victory.
It was the second career HoopDirt.Com Coach of the Week honor for McSloy, who also captured the award on Dec. 11, 2023.
The Rangers continue their season on Wednesday, when they host Wilkes University at 7 p.m. in another Landmark Conference tilt.
