Pain Pane

A gift from family and friends, the window was designed by Steve Racine G’05,’13 and can be found on the second floor of S.W. Bowne Hall.

The lamppost in C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe burned continuously, a beacon for the Pevensie children when they stumbled into Narnia. The same can be said about Dean James Pain—his intellectual light has guided Drew students in all three schools for 65 years. Good reason for this symbol to be featured in the Dean Pain memorial stained glass window, dedicated during Reunion 2016. A gift from family and friends, the window was designed by Steve Racine G’05,’13 and can be found on the second floor of S.W. Bowne Hall.
