Drew University houses five undergraduate unique and creative Theme Houses that embrace various cultures and characteristics.
All of our Undergraduate Theme Houses are located in The Townhouses and contains its own distinct community that programs for the campus on a regular basis.
Each Undergraduate Theme House has a House Assistant (HA). Their role is to build community, be a resource to house members, and serve as a liaison to Residence Life and their faculty/staff advisor.
All Theme Houses have a faculty/staff advisor. This position allows for contextual learning to occur outside of the classroom as the faculty adviser may serve as a facilitator to house members. The Faculty Advisor also serves as a consultant on topics of interest to the house, and as a resource to help house members plan programs based on the House’s theme. For questions, comments, or concerns about the Theme Houses, contact the Faculty Advisor Monica Madera ([email protected]).
2022-2023 Theme House

Applications will begin late February in the Spring Term of 2023 for New Theme House / Theme House Renewal and for Theme House Member(s).

WOCO: A FEMINIST HOUSE
WoCo: A Feminist House – HA Abi LeBlanc ’23
WoCo, or the Women’s Concerns House, is a house focused primarily around intersectional feminism, and creating a positive, inclusive, and uplifting environment on Drew’s Campus for everyone, regardless of identity. Don’t be fooled by the name, we also work on a number of LGBTQIA+ related events on campus. We believe in equity, and strive to enforce that both within the house and on campus at large. We host a number of events every year revolving around a wide array of topics. In the past, some events sponsored by WoCo have been: trips to the Women’s March in New York City, Trans Day of Remembrance, These Hands Don’t Hurt (an anti-domestic violence campaign on campus), Take Back the Night (an event to raise awareness and educate about sexual violence and assault on and off of campus). We aim to educate people, both on and off campus, about issues concerning inequality in our world, and resources for students to use if they need help, information, guidance, or anything else! Our door is open to all, so stop by for some tea if you’d like to know more!

SPIRITUALITY HOUSE
Spirituality House – HA Nate Roark ’24
Spirituality House, originally established in 1996, has always been a community of people who wish to promote open and honest conversation of religious and spiritual life, each individual’s connection to their spirituality or creator, and to explore and learn the religious and spiritual practices of cultures around the globe. Through campus wide and in-house programming, we wish to learn about and celebrate the spiritual diversity on Drew’s campus. We also wish to help cultivate a safe place to practice one’s spirituality outside of our campus’ religious spaces and hours.
“Spirituality House is peace. It is a place of respect, of acceptance, of openness. A place of love, of self-love, of support. A place of understanding, of learning, of honesty. A place to converse, to discuss, to laugh, to cry, to be. A place to eat together. A place to soul search. A place to help and to be helped. Spirituality house is a Home.”
