Add or Drop a Class Simultaneously
If you receive a “minimum hours restriction prevented the processing of your request” error when attempting to drop a class in the Add or Drop Classes page, this means minimum hour checking is turned on and you are unable to drop below the minimum hours as indicated on the bottom of the Add or Drop Classes page.
DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO DO, THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS:
- If you are trying to drop a class AND add a class: you will need to do this in one action. If you encounter any registration errors, you will need to correct those before being able to make the action.
- For the class to drop – select “Web Drop No W” from the drop-down next to the class in the Action column.
- For the class to add – enter the CRN in the first CRNs box
- Click “Submit Changes”
- If you are trying to drop a class only: you will need to submit an academic standing petition to request to drop below your minimum hours, and should provide the CRN of the class to drop.
