Friday, September 20, 2024

• 7 p.m. | Women’s Volleyball v. Bryn Mawr College | Baldwin Gym
• 8 p.m. | The New Jersey Shakespeare Theater presents: Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility Performances throughout the weekend. Tickets can be at: https://tickets.shakespearenj.org/TheatreManager/1/tmEvent/tmEvent1243.html
• 8 p.m. – Midnight | Petting Zoo | Outside EC
  Join us at our petting zoo where you can pet and hold goats, rabbits, ducks, and a donkey. The first 100 students or Drew siblings will receive a stuff-a-plush.

Saturday, September 21, 2024 

• 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Family Weekend Information Desk
  Featuring light grab-and-go breakfast fare and beverages in the Ehinger Center (EC) lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Information Desk will be staffed until 3 PM, stop by if you have any Family Weekend questions.
• 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Bookstore is Open! | Commons First Floor
• 9:00 a.m. | Drew Ghost Walking Tour
  Ghost Stories Tour begins promptly at 9 a.m. in the Archives. From there, you will be guided to Mead Hall, Seminary Hall, outside the Shakespeare Theater, and end at Hoyt Hall for more spooky stories. The tour ends at approximately 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Register for the ghost tour when you register for Family Weekend.
• 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Madison Farm & Artisan Market | Downtown Madison, by the Police Station
  The Madison Farm & Artisan Market runs every Saturday from May 25 through December 14. This community-centered event features a variety of vendors, non-profit organizations, and businesses. 
• 11 a.m. | President Link’s University Address | Concert Hall, Dorothy Young Center
  Join President Link as she provides parents and family with updates and insight about the University for this new academic year.
• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Class Ring Vendor | Ehinger Center Lobby
• 11 a.m. –  2 p.m. | Brunch in The Commons
  Visit the Commons for lunch. Parents eat free for students on the Platinum Meal Plan. Guest admission is $11.00 per person.
• 12 p.m. | Men’s Tennis v. Lycoming College | Drew Tennis Courts (behind the Simon Forum)
• 12 p.m – 2 p.m. | Hillel’s Family Weekend Brunch | Townhouse 8 | Rain Location: The EC Pub
  Join our Drew Hillel for brunch and snacks outside the Hillel House.
• 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | Family Weekend Fall Festival | Ehinger Center Patio & Lawn
  We are hosting an afternoon of inflatable activities, games, and pumpkin painting for all Drew students and their families. If you are looking for an afternoon snack, then stop by for ice cream and donuts.
• 2 – 4 p.m. | Faculty Presentations | The Space, Ehinger Center
  2 PM: Dr. Rita Keane, Professor of Art History

  Focus on the Art in Art History: Experiential learning in the Visual Arts at Drew
  Join us to talk about how we integrate art on campus and beyond into our art history courses, an overview of some significant art historical monuments at Drew and in NYC.
  3 PM: Dr. Scott Morgan, Professor of Psychology

  Political Psychology and the 2024 Presidential Election

  Psychology is the scientific study of how individuals think, feel, and behave. Wherever there are people, there are psychological phenomena to uncover and explore. This talk will introduce insights that psychological science can provide about the ways that people navigate their social and political world. 

• 4:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.: | Dinner at The Commons
  The Commons will be serving dinner and Drew family members are always invited! Parents eat free for students on the Platinum Meal Plan. Guest admission is $14.25 per person.

Sunday, September 22, 2024 

• 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Bookstore is Open! | Commons First Floor
• 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Family Weekend Brunch | The Commons
  Brunch during Family Weekend is a tradition we always look forward to! Enjoy our delicious brunch and see what The Commons has to offer. Students with meal plans should swipe into The Commons, while family members and guests will receive complimentary entrance to brunch.
