The Forest Awakens!
Get in the game, stay active, and live a healthy lifestyle with Drew Athletics and Recreation.
Drew is the home of the Rangers and 25 NCAA Division III varsity sports. Student-athletes at Drew are renowned for their dual passion for their sport and their academic careers. Typically making up more than one-quarter of the student body, Rangers have boasted championship titles, scholarly awards, and real-world experience during their careers in The Forest. When offered academic freedom, the ability to compete, and deep resources to land internships and jobs, Rangers say, “I’ll have one of each, please.”
You don’t have to wear a uniform to reap the benefits of Drew’s Athletics and Recreation department. Campus Recreation’s programs are designed to meet the needs of the whole community, including all students, staff, and faculty. Programs provide opportunities for the worthwhile use of leisure time and maintenance of high-level health and wellness. Activities are held in the Simon Forum and associated outdoor facilities.
Ready to Ranger Up?
It’s more than just the thrill of victory and agony of defeat. Wearing Blue & Green has been a privilege for more than 85 years at Drew. The tradition and championship culture are here for you to continue. If you’re ready to declare the paths, pursuits, and possibilities that matter to you, you’re ready to Ranger Up.
The Rangers are a member of the NCAA Division III, the Landmark Conference, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Drew has won 61 conference championships since joining DIII in 1973, and continually place over 60 student-athletes on the conference academic honor roll each season. Want to become a part of the family? Schedule a visit with our coaches and check out our athletics website to learn more.
Have Fun and Live Healthy in The Forest
Campus Recreation’s flexible and diverse offerings allow students, faculty, and staff the ability to prioritize fitness and healthy living, even with the most hectic of schedules. Their wide range of activities fall into five categories: fitness, intramural sports, club sports, recreation events, and self-serve recreation.
Drew provides free use of cardio equipment, fitness classes, and a newly-renovated weight training room. Looking to join a team? Both team and individual competition takes place in club sports ranging from rugby to volleyball.
Campus Rec also hosts special events such as Quidditch, Hunger Games Dodgeball, Cash Cab, Pub Trivia, Rock Paper Scissors Tournament, and the Drew Olympics.
