Transcript Requests
Official Transcript Requests
Students may have official transcripts mailed to other institutions, prospective employers, or other agencies by completing a transcript request. All requests may take up to 3 business days to process before mailing.
- Drew University does not currently offer electronic transcripts. Please click here to review steps you can take if an electronic transcript is needed.
- If you have an attachment to include with a transcript request submitted through TreeHouse, submit the Transcript Attachment Request form found here.
All students, past and present, are welcome to make a request in person at the Registrar’s Office.
The University withholds transcripts if a student has an outstanding balance or if repayment of a loan granted by or through the University is in arrears.
Enhanced Service Options Available to Current and Former Students
All requests may take up to 3 business days to process and will not be mailed until payment is posted to the student’s account.
- USPS Priority Mail ($15) – Delivery via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days). This is our fastest delivery option for P.O. Boxes.
- Please note that this option is only available for United States locations.
- Overnight Mail ($25) – Delivery via FedEx Standard Overnight mail.
- Please note that this option cannot be used for P.O. Boxes, and is only available for United States locations.
- International Mail ($25) – Delivery via FedEx International Economy mail. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for delivery.
Payment for Enhanced Service Options
Any transcript fees must be paid before release of the record, please note, these are fees in addition to tuition charges and will not be covered by any existing payment plans.
Current Drew Student Request Process
Current Drew Students
Students may request their transcript through their Treehouse portal. Transcripts ordered with standard processing and mailing are provided at no charge for current Drew University students. Please allow up to 1-3 working days for processing of these requests before mailing.
If you have an attachment to include with your transcript, please make your request in TreeHouse then submit the Transcript Attachment Request form found here.

Current Students are able to view and print a web version of their unofficial transcript through their Treehouse portal:
- Scroll down to the Registrar box.
- Select View Unofficial Transcript.
Current students may request a copy of their unofficial transcript online via Treehouse.
Paying for expedited mailing: a link to make a one-time payment to your account is provided to you on the “Request Complete” page of the transcript request process in TreeHouse. If you did not click the link you may access the one-time payment screen via the student accounts website and post your payment by following the instructions of the method you wish to pay.
Expedited mailing request that have not been paid for within 5 business days will be downgraded to standard mailing.
Students Not Currently Enrolled (including Alumni) Request Process

Drew has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide students who are not currently enrolled the opportunity to request transcripts. This service has a $2.90 processing fee per order, charged by the Clearinghouse. Please allow up to 1-3 working days for processing of these requests before mailing.

Alumni with an active Drew email address and TreeHouse access may continue to request a transcript through TreeHouse.
- Alumni who completed a program at Drew may set up their alumnus/a email account and Drew login by contacting the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations at 973-408-3229 or alumni@drew.edu.
Visiting/Summer/Auditor/Au Pair Drew Student Request Process

Non-degree seeking Drew students are able to request official or unofficial transcripts through their Treehouse portal for one full semester after their last active enrollment term. After this date, requests need to be made through the National Student Clearinghouse.
All students, past and present, are welcome to make a request in person at the Registrar’s Office.

Sending a Transcript to the NJDOE
Procedures for submitting a transcript to the New Jersey Department of Education are as follows:
For current students submitting a transcript request through TreeHouse
- Complete the transcript request form as indicated in the steps outlined above.
- In the “Issued to” field, enter the NJDOE email address: certapplication@doe.nj.gov
For former students/alumni submitting a transcript request through the National Student Clearinghouse
- Complete the transcript request form as indicated in the steps outlined above, taking note of the following particular fields.
- In the “Recipient” section, select “Education Organization …” and then “New Jersey Department of Education” from the drop-down menus; click Continue.
- In the “Delivery Information” section, select “Mail/United States” for the delivery preference.
- In the “Recipient Delivery Information” section, enter the following information; leave the other fields blank:
- Name of recipient: will autofill from previous selection as NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
- Address 1 (street number/name): certapplication@doe.nj.gov
- City: Trenton
- State: NJ
- Zip Code: 08625
- Click “Add to Cart”
- You will then see a pop-up message warning you that the address is invalid. Click the “Use Entered Address” button on the lower right:
- A second pop-up message will appear, verifying the address. Click “YES.”
Unofficial Electronic Transcripts for Current Students
Unofficial Electronic Transcripts for Current Students with Access to TreeHouse
Drew University is taking steps to implement and offer official electronic transcripts; however, it is not available at this time. If you require an official electronic transcript, please review the following:
- Contact the institution requiring the electronic transcript to let them know Drew University does not currently offer electronic transcripts. Ask for the other methods of submission.
- Request an official transcript to be sent to yourself, scan it, and send it into the institution.
- Request an official transcript to be sent to the institution and let them know an official paper copy has been sent.
If they require an electronic version of the transcript directly from the school, let them know we can only provide a PDF version of an unofficial transcript , then request it using the below instructions:
CURRENT STUDENTS WITH ACCESS TO TREEHOUSE
(Unofficial transcripts are not available to alumni.)
- Via TreeHouse click the Transcript Request link.
- Select Unofficial Electronic from the “Transcript Type” drop-down.
- Enter the email address of the recipient in the “Issued To:” field.
- Enter your phone number (in case we have any questions) and click Continue.
- Select Unofficial PDF E-mailing – No Charge from the “Delivery Method” drop-down.
- Make sure you click Submit Request on the next screen.
