Robert Donnelly teaches preparation and self marketing skills
December 2022 – Adjunct professor Robert Donnelly teaches his students the power of preparation.
Donnelly, who joined Drew this semester teaching undergraduate management courses, brings over 20 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate business programs.
As a marketing and brand building expert who has held corporate executive management positions with such giants as Exxon, IBM, and Pfizer, Donnelly knows the importance of building a personal brand and a career plan. These important and often overlooked skills can be critical to landing a job in today’s competitive market.
“I share my experience with the Fortune 100 corporations as an executive in the early years in my career, as well as the CEO positions I had managing the U.S. operations for several foreign multinational firms with my students,” said Donnelly. “I emphasize the importance of developing and monitoring a career plan as they start out on their careers.”
Donnelly’s theories and lessons extend outside of the classroom. He published an article offering concise advice on career planning in Meadowlands Magazine, “Who is Marketing – YOU?” and was recently interviewed by The International Business Growth Radio network on the “Value of Developing a Business Plan.” In addition, he is an accomplished author of three books, including his most recent How to Create and Grow Brand Equity.
