Trisha Dominick C’23 | Marywood University’s Physician Assistant Program
Major: Biology (BS)
Minor: Public Health
How did Drew prepare you for your next steps?
Drew experiences played a huge role in helping me secure these plans. I was able to engage in multidisciplinary experiences throughout my time here, which made me a well-rounded individual and a great candidate for graduate programs! Some experiences that I personally believe helped me succeed included my involvement in the Civic Scholars program, which gave me a great perspective on addressing various social issues in addition to getting me involved in Drew’s community. Also, my experience as a teaching assistant in microbiology lab helped me practice various lab techniques and deepen my understanding through helping others.
How did your experience at Drew help make your graduate application stand out?
In all honesty, I think the Civic Scholars program was what made my application stand out the most. Many of the questions I received during interviews were focused on this portion of my application. In the event that a question was not, I always ended up touching upon it somehow because this program provided me with so many transferable skills that are relevant in virtually every scope of work.
