Drew ranked 35th on the list with 40.5% of students taking part in one of Drew’s global education programs. Of note, the data used to compile the rankings included student participation during the 2021-22 academic year, the first to operate post-pandemic.
“It took an extraordinary effort from staff, faculty, and the students themselves to navigate the complexities of travel,” said Stacy Fischer, executive director of Launch, Drew’s undergraduate experience that prepares students for post-graduation success.
“This honor is a testament to the commitment of many to provide students with meaningful, high-impact experiences that prepare them to be thoughtful and engaged global citizens.”
Drew’s global education opportunities include seven New York City semesters, which take students into the Big Apple twice a week in subjects like Wall Street, the UN, theatre, contemporary art, communications and media, social impact, and museums and cultural management.
International opportunities include Drew’s staple London Semester as well as shorter-term experiences in countries like France, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Northern Ireland, Spain, and more.
Drew has been touted for other international efforts as well. In the 2023 Open Doors report, IIE gave Drew top marks for international student enrollment, placing the university 11th in the nation with 430 students, the most in New Jersey among baccalaureate schools.
