Reflections and learnings from Drew students
June 2024 – Pride Month is celebrated annually in June to honor the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Inn Riots—an event that launched the gay rights movement.
Today, Pride Month is a time to celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community—and to continue to raise awareness for the many issues surrounding equality for LGBTQ+ individuals.
To celebrate Pride Month, Drew students are sharing stories and reflections on what Pride Month means to them and how we can use this time as a teaching and learning opportunity.
Read on to learn more and be inspired in this compilation of voices and perspectives on Pride Month from the Drew community.
Happy Pride!
