Drew University Rises 16 More Slots in Latest Washington Monthly Rankings

Drew now ranks 57th among the country’s top liberal arts schools

September 2024 – Drew University has continued its rise up Washington Monthly‘s rankings. After vaulting into the top 75 liberal arts schools to 73rd last year, Drew has been ranked 57th in the publication’s recently released 2024 rankings.

Washington Monthly ranked nearly 1,500 public and private schools based on their contribution to the public good, focusing on three main areas: social mobility, research, and promoting public service.

“Top-ranked colleges needed to be excellent across the full breadth of our measures,” according to the publication’s methodology.

Among the three main areas measured, Drew ranked highest in social mobility (51), which serves as Washington Monthly‘s Best Bang for the Buck category.

Of note, Drew is the only New Jersey school in the list’s top 100, and was listed several slots above schools like Bucknell, Barnard, and Lewis & Clark.

Last month, Drew was once again included in The Princeton Review’s Best 390 Colleges list, and jumped into the top 20 in Best College Theater (16) and Lots of Race/Class Interaction (20) supplemental categories.
