Jiranat Panichkarn C’18, G’19 Finds Success in the Global World of Finance

The two-time Drew alum shares his experience in The Forest and beyond

June 2026 – Jiranat Panichkarn C’18, G’19 started his journey at Drew University as an international student with a double major in Economics and Psychology.

Looking to gain greater exposure and experience in the finance industry, he enrolled in Drew’s inaugural cohort offering a Master of Science in Finance through Drew’s Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. Intrigued by the program’s blend of classroom learning and practical experience, he saw it as an opportunity to deepen his understanding of the financial industry while gaining exposure to the professional world.

“I believed the program would provide both strong academic learning and real-world experience through opportunities like the Wall Street Program,” he said. “I was also drawn to Drew’s close-knit community, where students and professors built meaningful relationships and learned from one another both inside and outside the classroom.”

Today, Panichkarn works for the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Bangkok, where he supports financial institutions by providing access to market data, analytics, and technology solutions. In his role, he partners with clients to understand their needs and help them make more informed investment and business decisions.

He credits Drew with launching him into the financial industry and providing the foundation for his professional success. “Drew introduced me to the world of finance through the MS in Finance program, which played a major role in inspiring me to pursue a career in the industry,” said Panichkarn. “The program, along with my coursework, provided a strong foundation and gave me the confidence to begin my professional journey.”

Reflecting on his time at Drew, Panichkarn says the relationships formed at Drew are among the most valuable outcomes of his experience. “I’m grateful for the opportunities and relationships I built at Drew,” he said. “The university gave me a strong foundation, both professionally and personally, and many of the lessons I learned continue to shape my career today. I’m especially thankful for the professors, classmates, and mentors who supported me throughout my journey.”

Panichkarn offered advice for students considering Drew. “Take advantage of everything Drew has to offer,” he said. “Join clubs, participate in campus activities, build relationships with your professors and classmates, and enjoy the experience. Some of the most valuable lessons and opportunities come from the connections you make and the experiences you have outside the classroom.”
