Drew University Named to The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges List

Jumps into top 10 in nation for Best College Theater

August 2026 – Drew University has once again made The Princeton Review’s Best 392 Colleges guide.

Drew has made the selective list, which includes only 15 percent of America’s four-year institutions, every year since it debuted in 1992.

The 2027 list is compiled based on The Princeton Review’s survey of schools’ academic programs.

“The colleges we profile in The Best 392 Colleges vary by type, size, locale, and campus culture. In our opinion, each one offers an academically outstanding undergraduate education,” said Rob Franek C’92, Editor-in-Chief of The Princeton Review and member of Drew’s Board of Trustees.

In addition to making the overall list for best colleges, Drew jumped into the top 10 for in the supplemental Best College Theater list, rising from 23rd to eighth. The category, based entirely on student feedback, ranks colleges based on the quality of their student-run theater productions.

“The colleges that make our ranking lists in the book do so entirely as a result of their own students’ opinions of them,” said Franek. “For 35 years, our goal for this project has been to create multiple ranking lists and resources to help college applicants answer what is likely the toughest but also the most important question in their journey to college: ‘Which college is best for me?

The accolades add to a long list of praise for Drew.

Last year, Drew made The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges guide, marking the seventh consecutive year on the list. Drew also made Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges list, was named a top 100 school by U.S. News & World Report, and just last month was featured on Money Magazine’s best Colleges 2026 list based on value, affordability, and outcomes.
