“At a time when everything costs more, Drew will be the exception,” said President Link
November 2026 – Drew University has announced that it will hold its undergraduate tuition steady at the current level for the 2027-28 academic year.
“At a time when everything costs more, Drew will be the exception,” said President Hilary L. Link, PhD, in a letter to students, parents, alums, and the campus community.
“Amid inflation and economic uncertainty, financial predictability is all the more important,” Link continued. “By holding tuition steady and investing in financial aid funding, Drew continues to be an institution students, parents, and families can count on.”
The decision to keep tuition steady was communicated months before tuition fees are historically announced to students and families. The announcement was made shortly after it received unanimous approval by the Board of Trustees.
“We want students to be able to focus on their studies, their internships, their research, and the full college experience offered at Drew,” said Link. “With financial predictability, these hallmarks of a Drew education—always focused on preparing students for their careers—will remain at the forefront.”
Current students with merit scholarships will have their aid stay the same for the remainder of their time at Drew. Consistent with University policy, need-based financial aid will continue to be reviewed each year based on FAFSA information.
Also holding steady with current costs are mandatory fees, standard double room fees, and most meal plan costs.
“Every year, publications come out with rankings of top colleges around the nation,” said Link. “Drew has regularly been recognized for being a top value college whether the metrics used focus on affordability, return on investment, or outcomes. These are among the rankings of which we are most proud. We live up to our longstanding mission statement of creating a diverse community of learners and providing those learners a true return on investment—not just a college degree, but a roadmap to a successful personal and professional life after their time at Drew.”
