In spring 2026, a cohort of nine students already enrolled in Drew’s undergraduate College of Liberal Arts enrolled in Drew’s first prototype in the new college. The microcollege provided students the ability to co-design their own programs, focus on their individual passions, and learn through tackling real-world problems. The innovation scholars cohort, under faculty mentorship, developed individual learning paths that they will pursue through spring 2028.

As part of Drew’s new college, students design their own cross-disciplinary path of study, focusing their individual purpose and passions as they learn to tackle real-world problems that matter.

The inaugural innovation scholars enrolled in the first prototype should complete in Spring 2028. Drew’s new college will continue to deliver additional educational prototypes designed alongside students using emerging technologies to further evolve this unique approach to learning.
