Drew University Touted as New Jersey’s Hidden Gem

College Raptor singles out Drew among top small schools

September 2023 – Drew University has been identified as a “Hidden Gem” school.

College Raptor selected one school per state that was among the top third of the publication’s best overall schools and had fewer than 7,000 undergraduates. Factors like retention rate, graduation rate, student-faculty ratio, selectivity were weighed when selecting the diamonds in the rough.

Schools like Bryn Mawr (PA), Mount Holyoke (MA), The University of the South (TN), and Harvey Mudd (CA) were chosen to represent their respective states.

While Drew’s small size and high academic quality led to Hidden Gem status, an historic number of new first-year and transfer students are showing the school is a definitive hot spot.

Drew recently earned praise from The Princeton Review, which named the University among its Best 389 Colleges and in the top 25 schools for College Theater and Race/Class Interaction.
