Launch a Career in Finance with Drew’s Master of Science in Finance Program

With flexible admission requirements, hands-on training, and excellent job placement, Drew’s finance graduate program prepares students for success on Wall Street and beyond

August 2025 – For students eager to break into the world of finance, Drew University’s Caspersen School of Graduate StudiesMaster of Science in Finance (MFin) program offers the perfect blend of academic rigor, real-world experience, and mentorship.

The 30-credit program equips students with the quantitative, analytical, and technological skills demanded by today’s industry. With small class sizes, individualized mentoring, and strong ties to Wall Street, Drew students learn by doing—whether through Bloomberg certification, financial modeling, programming in Python and R, or internships with leading firms.

“Drew’s MS in Finance program combines rigorous, STEM-designated coursework with hands-on learning in Bloomberg, Python, and real-world internships,” said Hamed Yousefi, program director and assistant professor of finance. “With a focus on two high-demand tracks plus strong career support and a proven record of job placement at leading firms, Drew prepares students to launch successful finance careers.”

Students can choose from concentrations in Investment Management or Financial Engineering, or may pursue a general finance track. The curriculum is designed to align with certifications from Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)  and Financial Risk Management (FRM). Drew’s designation as an academic partner of both the CFA Institute and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) underscores the program’s strength.

“Academically, I felt challenged at Drew, but I always felt seen by professors,” said Emma Boggs C’24, G’25, who is now a Data Analyst at PSE&G. “The small class sizes made for the most perfect learning environment. It often meant building personal relationships with professors as well as classmates.”

Located less than one hour from New York City and Drew’s strong and involved alum network, graduates have landed roles at firms like Bank of America, KPMG, Pagaya, Morningstar, and L’Oréal, just to name a few.

“I am most grateful for how Drew was able to prepare me for how life is outside of the classroom and connect me with great alumni all over the nation,” said Kyle Weeks C’23, G’24, who turned an internship at Bank of American into a full-time position.

With a rolling admission and flexible admission requirements, Drew makes applying simple. For students seeking a hybrid or in-person master’s experience, Drew’s MFin offers the tools, experiences, and connections to thrive in asset management, risk analytics, or FinTech careers.
