Drew is among the first institutions in the Google AI for Education Accelerator program
August 2026 – Drew University students, alumni, and employees will gain access to flexible, online programs designed to build job-ready skills in more than 15 fields through the Drew University-Google Certificates Project.
The initiative is part of the Google AI for Education Accelerator, a national effort to help college students develop critical workforce-ready skills and AI knowledge. Drew is among the first institutions participating in the initiative to provide access to the new Google AI Professional Certificate.
Participants can specialize in AI, promoting, people management, data analytics with Python, stakeholder management, data-driven decision making, digital customer engagement, network security, and agile essentials to build practical, in-demand skills quickly.
More comprehensive programs in data analytics, project management, UX design, cybersecurity, digital marketing and e-commerce, and IT support prepare learners for entry-level roles with job-ready skills.
For learners ready to move into technical, specialized roles, the program will also offer advanced certificates in IT automation with Python, advanced data analytics, and business intelligence.

“Through Drew’s partnership with Google, members of our community can continue building new skills at every stage of their academic and professional journeys. These programs reflect Drew’s commitment to helping students, alumni, and employees remain curious, adaptable, and prepared for what comes next.”
Those who complete a program—all of which are held online—will earn a Google Career Certificate, along with a LinkedIn badge to showcase their achievement.
