This is an exciting and pivotal moment for Drew. Thanks to the leadership of generous alumni, two new scholarship challenges are inviting the Drew community to come together in support of students.

The Caruso Scholarship Challenge and the Vanessa Allen Sutherland C’92 Scholarship Challenge are helping create new scholarship opportunities for talented students while expanding access to a Drew education. Open through June 30, 2026 — or until matching funds are exhausted — the two challenges complement one another by creating meaningful ways for alumni and friends to make a difference at every level.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate the power of alumni leadership and the impact the Drew community can have when we work together. Every dollar given during this time unlocks additional funding—and helps open the door for a student who might not otherwise have access to Drew.

Vanessa Allen Sutherland C’92 Challenge

Drew alumna Vanessa Allen Sutherland C’92 is investing in the next generation of Drew students.

Through a $150,000 commitment, this challenge invites donors to create a named current-use scholarship with a leadership gift of $25,000—providing students with immediate scholarship support.

Caruso Scholarship Challenge

Anthony C’05, Michael C’08, and Domenick C’12 Caruso are turning gratitude into action.

Their $50,000 challenge is designed to inspire broad participation—matching gifts of up to $5,000 designated to the College Scholarship Fund, the Caspersen Scholarship Fund, or the Theological School Scholarship Fund.

Every eligible gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling its impact for Drew students.

Even more: members of the Classes of 2005, 2008, and 2012 will receive a 2:1 match, tripling their impact.

With matching funds limited to the first $50,000, every gift—at any level—matters, and timing is critical.
