May 2019 – Drew University President MaryAnn Baenninger celebrated the return of the Madison Farmers Market with a short ceremony downtown.
Also on hand were Astri Baillie, president of the Madison Borough Council and a Drew University alumna, and Lisa Ellis, the borough’s director of business development.
On Thursdays between May and October, the Madison Farmers Market offers an array of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, baked goods and treats on Central Avenue between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
This year marks the 27th season of the market, which is presented by the Downtown Development Commission and sponsored by Drew, Lakeland Bank and Healthy Atalia. Here’s a closer look at opening day.
