Drew Alums Provide Career Insights to Students Via Virtual Panels

Panels cover industries like law, science, business, arts, communications, education and more

April 2020 – Drew University has transitioned completely to virtual learning, and alums are getting in on the action, assisting students with career advice and connections.

With in-person networking events cancelled amid Drew’s decision to institute social distancing measures, the Center for Internships and Career Development and Alumni & Parent Communities office created virtual panels to maintain the spirit—and purpose—of exposing undergrads to career insights in their fields of study.

Through Zoom, alums from around the world are joining together to discuss their career paths and answer questions from students.

Many alums became panelists after students reached out via Drew Connect, Drew’s online community that connects students and alums in their respective industries. Taking part in the panels has encouraged all participating alums to join the platform to continue offering their insights and connections.
