Drew University is College Raptor’s Hidden Gem of N.J.

Top small school in the state for second consecutive year

September 2020 – Drew University remains New Jersey’s diamond in the rough according to College Raptor.

The publication has named Drew the state’s Hidden Gem in its Best in the U.S. list for the second straight year.

To qualify for the list, a school must have fewer than 7,000 undergraduate students and receive high marks in methodology factors like retention rate, graduation rate, selectivity, and student-faculty ratio.

Other schools to earn this distinction are the College of Saint Benedict (MN), Harvey Mudd College (CA), Haverford College (PA), St. John’s College (MD), and The University of the South (TN).

Drew has racked up the accolades in recent weeks, jumping four spots in U.S. News & World Report’s annual liberal arts rankings, improving 16 spots to 69th in the nation in Washington Monthly’s liberal arts list, and making The Princeton Review’s The Best 386 Colleges list, with top 20 praise in theater production and race/class interaction categories.
