Students can fast-track earning undergraduate and advanced degrees at partnering schools
October 2021 – Drew University has announced the addition of six new Dual-Degree programs with Drew’s Caspersen School of Graduate Studies and Drew Theological School.
The new programs add to the already robust list of Dual-Degree offerings at Drew, which has partnerships with schools like Columbia, Duke, NYU, and Washington University in St. Louis in fields like business management, cybersecurity, engineering, law, medicine, and software engineering.
Drew’s Dual-Degree programs were created to offer students the ability to fast track earning an undergraduate degree at Drew and put them on the path to earning an advanced degree in a partnering program.
Starting next academic year, students will be able to take advantage of new 4+1 Dual-Degree programs in data analytics, finance, and medical humanities, health, and society with Caspersen, and religion, and theology and ministry from the Theological School. Caspersen also already has two existing 4+1 Dual-Degree options in teaching and history and culture.
These programs will allow students to earn their undergraduate and advanced degrees in just five total years as they will be able to take four graduate-level courses during their junior or senior years that will count toward both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
A 3+3 Master of Divinity (MDiv) option has also been added in the Theological School that will allow students to receive a bachelor’s degree from Drew after successfully completing 32 credits in the MDiv program, and earn an MDiv degree after completing all requirements in the sixth year in the program.
“We are extremely excited to offer these six new Dual-Degree programs,” said Drew University President Thomas J. Schwarz.
“Drew will now have 18 options for students to receive their undergraduate degree at Drew while working toward an advanced degree in a field they’re passionate about, all at an accelerated, cost-effective pace, at a terrific partner school, including the two right here in The Forest.”
