Students can explore resources, learn skills
September 2025 – Drew University’s Center for Counseling and Wellness will host a Wellness Fair for students on Tuesday, September 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Ehinger Center.
The fair will focus on whole-self wellness, introducing students to resources on and off campus. These resources will help students improve academic success, stress management, social connection, relaxation, and sleep and time management habits.
“We hope this event will serve as an introduction or reminder to our students as they navigate the complexities of college life,” said Audra Tonero, executive director of Counseling and Wellness. “We want to make these resources and opportunities to learn readily available to our students and empower them to take care of themselves so they can thrive.”
The on-campus resources that will be covered include healthy and engaging dining options; fitness and athletic opportunities; yoga, reiki, and acupuncture demonstrations; financial health and personal budgeting lessons; community-building for first-gen students and students of color; Health Services information and giveaways; and information for disordered eating. The Athletics Department will also offer demos of dorm-room exercises.
Students are also able to meet with a Wellness Peer Mentor and set up future appointments for personal guidance.
Therapy dogs will be present throughout the event, which will also feature tabling and representation from the Center for Civic Engagement, and offices of Counseling and Wellness, Dining Services, Financial Aid, Educational Opportunity Scholars, Student Engagement, and Title IX.
Future wellness opportunities at Drew will also be introduced, including a body image workshop and a stress-down event, both slated for the spring semester.
