Drew University Class of 2024 Outcomes: Emma Bryer C’24

Pursuing a Masters of Science in Business Analysis and Strategic Management at the University of Manchester’s Alliance MBS

May 2024 – Drew University’s Class of 2024 has graduated, so we’re taking a look at where they’re headed.

Emma Bryer C’24 double majored in classics and art history and minored in business. Throughout her time at Drew, she was a member of Drew’s women’s field hockey team, an Action Scholar, President of the Art History Club, and took part in the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI), Northern Italy shortTREC on global business strategies, and Provence shortTREC on art and culture.

Where she’s headed: Bryer will continue her academic career—and European globetrotting—at the Queen Mary University of London, where she’ll pursue a masters of science in international financial management.

On her time at Drew: “I have had numerous experiences at Drew which have been crucial to my decision to pursue my upcoming masters degree. I am a huge advocate for there being no bad experiences; without my three internships and my wide variety of classes, I wouldn’t know that my original plan wasn’t what fit me or my abilities best.

“I would like to especially thank Professor of Art History Peggy Kuntz for working with me for numerous hours on my personal statement for Queen Mary, regardless of it being a program far different from my classwork with her in art history. As one can assume, getting accepted into all three of the finance programs I applied to at a globally prestigious Russell Group university was incredible, and chiefly due to my heavy humanities background despite little to no quantitative coursework. Therefore, making sure my statement was nothing short of perfect is something that I cannot thank her enough for.

“I would also like to express my appreciation towards [Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance and Associate Chair of Business] Steve Firestone who granted me access into his Investments class with little to no experience and provided me with all the tools I needed to excel, his overwhelming support, and the chance to prove to myself that I am more than capable of succeeding in my graduate program.“
