Drew ranked in the top third of school’s in Washington Monthly’s Northeastern schools category
September 2026 – Drew University has been named to Washington Monthly’s annual rankings, earning high marks for outcomes and value.
Washington Monthly’s Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars rankings were broken down by region rather than by school type for 2026.
In this year’s broader regional categories, Drew placed 133rd in the northeast region, placing it within the top third in the region.
Drew received particular praise once again in graduate rate, Pell-eligible graduation gap, bachelor’s to PhD, and outcomes categories, outpacing 2025’s high marks in the same metrics.
In the northeast region, Drew was in the top 10 percent of schools for graduation rate (top eight percent), Pell-eligible graduation gap (top six percent), and outcomes (top 10 percent). Drew ranked in the top 15 percent of northeast schools for bachelor’s to PhD rate, a jump of more than 40 percentile points from 2025.
Drew’s Pell-eligible graduation gap rate and bachelor’s to PhD rates were both the second-highest in the state of New Jersey, and Drew’s outcomes ranking were third in the state.
Last month, Drew was named to TIME Magazine’s inaugural America’s Best Colleges 2026-27 list, The Princeton Review’s Best 392 Colleges list, Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges list, and Money Magazine’s Best Colleges 2026 list.
