Princeton Review Ranks Drew Top 10 Nationally in Inclusiveness, Theater

Also among The Best 385 Colleges.

August 2019 – The Princeton Review ranks Drew University top 10 nationally in inclusiveness and theater productions.

In Lots of Race/Class Interaction, Drew is 10th out of 20 schools. The university is the only New Jersey school on the list. Likewise, Drew is the only N.J. school to make the Best College Theater list, where it’s also 10th.

Big picture, The Princeton Review ranks Drew among The Best 385 Colleges in the U.S. The highly selective guide cites the school’s ready access to internships and study abroad options, small classes, exceptional science and theatre programs and proximity to New York City, where students experience semesters on Wall Street, the United Nations, communications and media, social entrepreneurship, theatre and contemporary art.

The 2020 edition also quotes Drew students, who praise the school’s professors and tight-knit community. Professors “invest time in you academically and as a young adult looking for a career,” said one student. Said another: “You really get to know your professors in an impactful way.” Yet another student added that undergraduates with different interests “blend together and overlap so that there are no definite lines separating people.”

Less than 13 percent of the estimated 3,000 four-year schools in the U.S. made the guide—including just nine schools in N.J.  Drew, which offers a one-of-a-kind leading edge path to a degree through its Launch program, has been featured in the guide since its inception in 1992. The university also is among The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges and Colleges That Create Futures. Here’s the Best 385 Colleges entry for Drew and the full list of schools.
