Work with inspiring faculty—from Guggenheim and Fulbright fellows to commissioned artists—to become the best artist you can be. Explore the world of art with the New York Semester on Contemporary Art. See your work on display at Drew’s Korn Gallery or featured in Insanity’s Horse art and literary magazine. You can do it all at Drew.
Art is also available as a Minor.
Photography transforms what we see in front of the camera into meaningful images. This Minor Program includes the study of work from the camera obscura to contemporary digital practices in “History of Photography.”
Our NYC Semester on Contemporary Art
Discussing works of art with painters, sculptors, printmakers, and photographers in their studios; meeting with critics and dealers in Chelsea galleries; analyzing works in the Museum of Modern Art; visiting public art projects around the city. Every fall, students share these incomparable experiences on Drew’s Semester on Contemporary Art.
