Drew University’s Record-Setting First-Year Class Set For Orientation

Members of the 420-plus Class of 2027 take their first steps as Drew students

June 2023 – Drew University is set to welcome its largest cohort of incoming first-year undergraduates in five years for summer orientation.

The Class of 2027 chose Drew in droves, with more than 400 depositing by May 1’s National Decision Day. The class continues to grow as more students make their official decisions. Those who are still in the process of choosing are still able to join this exciting and diverse cohort and can apply here.

More than 350 incoming first-year students will take part in the three-day orientation, running June 26-28, which features annual favorite events like the welcome BBQ, block party, make-your-own Drew pennant, and several opportunities to get acquainted with the campus, faculty, staff, and student peers.

“These days are always high energy and full of excitement as the Drew community welcomes its newest students as official Drew Rangers!” said Megan McHugh, director of University events.

Later in the summer, students will be able to connect with classmates, faculty, and staff at Drew’s First Year in the Forest Summer Series of virtual events.

Be sure to follow Drew on Instagram at @drewuniversity for photos of the three fun-filled days!
