July 2019 – The Fiske Guide to Colleges ranks Drew University among its top 10 “Best Buy” private colleges and universities nationwide. And Drew is the only New Jersey school—public or private—in the top 20.
Fiske chose Drew because of its “outstanding educational value as determined by academic quality in relation to the net cost of attendance,” a year after the university lowered its tuition by 20 percent. Its top programs, real-world learning experiences and faculty mentorship were also recognized.
About Drew, Fiske cites its close proximity to New York City and quotes students, who say Drew is welcoming and inclusive. “No student goes unnoticed,” said one student. “Everyone bonds with a mentor on campus.”
Drew also is featured in the 2020 Fiske guide to the “best and most interesting” schools in North America and the U.K.—a select list of 323.
Fiske’s 2020 national “Best Buy” list includes just 10 private and 10 public schools:
Private Centre College Drew University Earlham College Mount Holyoke College Oglethorpe University Olin College of Engineering Rice University St. Olaf College Vanderbilt University Warren Wilson College
Public Arizona State University University of Florida University of Iowa New College of Florida University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Purdue University SUNY Binghamton University Texas A&M University Truman State University University of Wisconsin – Madison
