Prospective students join classes and worship on Drew’s Madison, NJ, campus
October 2022 – For the first time in nearly three years, prospective Drew Theological School students gathered in person to experience a day as a Drew student during the semi-annual Open Doors event.
Future faith leaders were able to experience Drew’s campus by participating in worship, conversations, campus tours, and classes throughout the day.
“Open Doors at Drew is an opportunity to get to know the Theological School as a place that values thinking, action, flexibility, and creativity,” said Kevin D. Miller, executive director of graduate admissions.
“Drew Theological School has trained rooted, innovative, and courageous leaders for more than 150 years for service to the church, the academy, and society. The day provides a realistic glimpse of life as a Drew Theological School student.”
The group was invited to attend a Transforming Theologies class, led by Chris Boesel, associate professor of Christian theology, and Kenneth Ngwa, professor of Hebrew Bible.
Prospective students joined chapel service in Craig Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gladson Jathanna, assistant professor of the history of Christianities, preaching the service.
Drew will host additional virtual Open Door events in November for those unable to come to campus.
