Drew Theological School Alum and Adjunct Professor Makes 2022 Foremost Under 40 List

Elizabeth Siegelman T’20 earns a spot for her work in restorative justice

December 2022 – Drew Theological School alum and Doctor of Ministry adjunct professor Elizabeth Siegelman T’20 has earned a well-deserved spot on Pennsylvania Business Central’s 2022 Foremost Under 40 list.

The annual list showcases young professionals in central Pennsylvania who exemplify the vision and dedication needed to excel in an increasingly competitive market. The honorees have made a positive impact in the community by consistently moving their business forward, adapting to major changes in their personal and professional life, and giving back to the community through volunteering or mentoring.

Siegelman, who earned a PhD in Bible and Cultures from the Theological School, is the program coordinator for Centre County Community Conferencing, a restorative justice program launched by the Center for Alternatives in Community Justice and CentrePeace

Siegelman knows that education is a valuable tool for community building and personal transformation. While at Drew, she was the program coordinator for Drew’s Partnership for Religion and Education in Prisons program (PREP). PREP brings the Drew classroom into the prison setting with the goal of equally educating both incarcerated and Theological School students through the sharing of diverse experiences, identities, and belief systems.

“Given my own experiences of watching formerly incarcerated family members struggle to reintegrate, I understand how difficult the transition back into the community can be,” said Siegelman. “As a community conferencing facilitator, I am dedicated to making that transition smoother.”
