Drew University Ranked Among The Princeton Review’s Top 40 Political Science Programs

Among schools like Columbia, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale

December 2023 – Drew University has once again been named to The Princeton Review’s Great Schools for Political Science/Government Majors list.

The list, included in the print version of The Princeton Review’s 2023 guide to colleges, is comprised of only 40 schools and includes some of the top schools in the country like Columbia, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale.

“I am thrilled that The Princeton Review has once again highlighted Drew as one of the best 40 colleges in the country to study political science,” said Patrick McGuinn, professor of political science and education.

“Along with our international relations major and our law, justice, and society minor, the political science major offers students a wide array of small and engaging classes where frequent student-faculty dialogue and mentorship is the norm.”

A hallmark of the political science and international relations offerings at Drew is the unique New York Semester on the United Nations, which brings students into New York City twice a week to the UN headquarters and other organizations for real-world learning and networking opportunities.

Political science courses are frequently supplemented by a variety of on-campus speakers, student clubs, study abroad options, and community-building events like the annual political science and international relations holiday party and faculty bake-off.

Drew political science graduates have gone on to attend prestigious graduate and law schools and to work in prominent positions in politics and government in New York City, Washington, DC, and New Jersey’s state capital, Trenton.

Earlier this year The Princeton Review named Drew to its annual Best 389 Colleges list, including top 25 rankings in Best College Theater and Race/Class Interaction categories, as well as the publication’s selective Best Value Schools list.
