Faith Ansah is a computer science and cybersecurity major

March 2025 – Drew University student Faith Ansah C’25 has been awarded scholarships to attend three renowned tech conferences.

Ansah, a computer science and cybersecurity double major and French minor, will take part in Harvard WECode with Rewriting The Code (RTC), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCy5) tech conferences thanks to scholarships from Black Girls Code, RTC, and WiCyS.

The three conferences will provide networking, learning, and professional development opportunities in the fields of cybersecurity and technology.

“These conferences will greatly help me prepare for life after graduation,” said Ansah. “They’ll give me a chance to connect with professionals in the industry, learn about different career paths, and explore job and internship opportunities. Plus, I’ll get to hear from experts about the latest trends in cybersecurity, which will help me stay ahead as I enter the field.”

Ansah has already started filling her resume with skills and experiences during her time at Drew, from an software engineering internship with Bank of America to working with University Technology as a Help Desk service center technician to building a strong cybersecurity foundation through coursework.

“These conferences will build on all my Drew experiences by allowing me to meet even more people in the industry and learn from their experiences too,” said Ansah.
