Katharine “Katie” Overgaard shares, “My son with partner Jerry Berman, Walter Cole Overgaard Berman, was born in November 2024. He was named in part after Thomas Cole (a Hudson River School painter for whom Jerry and I share a deep admiration). We are enamored of and enchanted by him and feel very lucky. We three are living in “Upstate Manhattan” (Washington Heights, near Fort Tryon Park) and enjoy taking long walks around the neighborhood’s many green spaces with Sadie, my nine-year-old golden retriever.” See photo gallery.

From Sophie Dommermuth, “I moved to London in 2022 and completed my MSc in Digital Anthropology at University College London (UCL) in 2023. My thesis was an ethnography of the technology used on the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile hiking trail and pilgrimage. I walked the trail while completing my research and earned my pilgrim’s Compostela for the distance I walked from France to Spain. I hope to do another big walk soon. I’ve written two books in the past year, and I’m working on a third. I have an amazing partner, who I met at a party thrown by none other than Ellyes Baghouli C’23, a Drew class of 2023 alum and fellow Drewid in London. I’ve worked as a magazine editor and a ghostwriter since completing my MSc. I feel lucky and grateful for the experiences I’ve had since graduating from Drew. I have no idea what’s coming next. I hope to connect with other Drew alums abroad, especially those in London!”

Sam Harvey shares, “Since graduating from Drew, I spent two years obtaining a Master’s in Higher Education Administration at Rowan University. After graduating from Rowan, I started a new position at Fairleigh Dickinson University as the Administrative Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Program. In addition, I am volunteering at both my alma maters: I’m serving as the Drew University Class of 2022 Classnotes secretary, and I was nominated to serve as a member of Rowan University’s Department of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Research Advisory Board. In my free time, I still try to practice guitar, watch movies, and go on many adventures with my partner. My original music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.” See photo gallery.

From Kyle Peschler, “For the past year, I have been working as an editor for an economic development magazine based out of Red Bank, NJ. I am in charge of putting together and writing articles for our bi-monthly issues, along with posting daily web articles. I travel around the country multiple times yearly, attending international investment summits and economic development conferences, often interacting with company executives and local politicians.” See photo gallery.

Gillian Sampson shares, “I got a job working full-time as a paralegal for a medical malpractice law firm. I am still at Drew working on my Masters in Education, concentrating on equity within the higher education system, which I will complete in 2026.”

Robert “Robbie” Angarone writes, “Hello from Washington DC! After graduating, I started working at Georgetown Law as an Event and Operations Assistant in the Office of Event Management and Scheduling. I have also joined a choir in DC—the Congressional Chorus—and am excited to be planting some roots here for a bit of time. Reach out if you’re in the DC area!”

Melvin Matias shares, “I’m excited to come back to Drew for alumni events! So far, life after Drew has been fun, fast-paced, and enlightening. I’m working as an application support engineer, so I’m maintaining software and traveling a little for the job. I’m in grad school, too, so balancing that with full-time work is a little tough so I’m learning how to make wine and just trying to stop, be mindful, and take more time for myself. I feel I took for granted how nice Drew’s campus is, so I’m looking forward to coming back one day!”
