Where the Class of 2025 is headed and how Drew University helped them get there
June 2025 – As the academic year ends, the futures of the Drew University Class of 2025 are beginning.
Read on to learn where some of Drew’s outstanding students are heading after graduating, and how their time at Drew helped them reach their goals.
Julia Satola C’25
History and Philosophy double major
Where she’s headed: Heading to Duke University to pursue a PhD in History.
On her time at Drew: “Honestly, Drew has an amazing quality of education—especially in the History Department. I study Russian/Soviet history, and when I came to Drew it was hard to find classes that fit my specific interests. Regardless, every history class I took, even though most of them were outside my field, shaped me academically and as a historian. During my visit to Duke for prospective students weekend, I met people from Brown, Columbia, and Vanderbilt, and I truly feel Drew has prepared me for success in graduate school just as much as any prestigious university would—if not more.
“Above all else, I give the credit to Dr. Carter. Since the second semester of my freshman year, he has served as my mentor. I don’t think I could have gotten into Duke without his time, advice, and patience. He has offered me more support than anyone else at Drew. I think these close relationships that Drew fosters between students and faculty are truly a gift, and in my case, Dr. Carter’s mentorship was undoubtedly the most important factor in my academic success.”
Rudy Cazenave C’25
Double major in Finance and International Relations, minor in Economics
Where he’s headed: Interning in Northern Trust’s Analyst Program, working in the company’s capital markets and institutional brokerage team.
On his time at Drew: “Drew’s interdisciplinary education allowed me to get an outstanding BS education in finance while also bolstering my knowledge in associated fields of interest such as global trade/politics/economics through the International Relations program and its amazing professors. The opportunity to lead the student managed investment fund at Drew gave me real asset management experience, a great competitive edge in interviews and perusing future plans.”
Eme Brennan C’25
Anthropology major, triple minor in Archaeology, Art History, and History
Where they’re headed: Attending King’s College London for an MA in Arts & Cultural Management.
On their time at Drew: “In 2023, I participated in Drew’s London Semester program, and the colloquium component encouraged my research into gravestone iconography and funerary practices, which I then turned into an independent study this year. The program also simply made me fall in love with London and what it has to offer, inspiring me to look into graduate programs in the UK.”
Grace Alejano C’25
Public Health and Anthropology double major
Where she’s headed: Taking part in Drew’s Dual-Degree program with the Boston University School of Public Health.
On how Drew helper her get there: “Drew’s Dual-Degree program with Boston University opened so many doors for me, including allowing me to attend BU’s School of Public Health graduate program this upcoming fall. The financial aid offered by the program allowed me to attend a school I never thought I’d be able to afford. Besides that, the support, knowledge, and guidance I’ve received from Drew’s amazing professors gave me everything I needed to prepare me for life post-grad, including my current job working at a hospital and my future graduate studies.”
