Center for Career Development partnered with Kenvue with the help of alum Lakeisha Bell
August 2025 – Drew University students past and present are working together with an eye toward the future.
Drew’s Center for Career Development has forged a partnership with Kenvue, the world’s largest pure-play consumer health company, a recent spinoff from Johnson & Johnson.
The partnership with Kenvue’s Equity in STEM program was created after a year of working with Lakeisha Bell, an alum of the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies’ medical humanities program, and the current director of clinical operations and consumer experience at Kenvue.
Recently, 11 Drew students visited Kenvue’s new global headquarters in nearby Summit, NJ, where they engaged with senior leaders and connected with current co-ops and interns. The students were even able to submit their resumes to the company’s recruitment team for internships and future opportunities, and have them reviewed on-site.
“Visiting Kenvue gave our students the opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals, learn about their unique career paths, and receive valuable career advice,” said Kim Giorgio, director of Drew’s Center for Career Development.
“One of the most powerful takeaways was that careers are rarely linear, and the leadership panel showed that growth often comes from unexpected turns and new experiences,” Giorgio added. “It was an inspiring reminder that exploration and adaptability are key to long-term success in STEM and beyond.”
The Center for Career Development is working to further the Kenvue partnership by bringing speakers to Drew’s campus, and other future networking and career development opportunities for students.
