The value-based list keeps Drew among top colleges
July 2026 – Drew University has been named to Money Magazine’s Best Colleges 2026 list, earning a four-star rating.
To create the rankings, Money Magazine evaluated 735 schools on 25 metrics to compare colleges based on value, weighing both affordability and outcomes.
The schools on Money’s list were initially trimmed down from 2,400 schools, removing those in financial distress or based on other considerations including school size and data availability and reliability.
Drew was among the 15 percent of four-year public and private nonprofit schools in the country to be included and earn a rating of four or more stars.
Money’s list is aimed at helping students and families discover schools that deliver strong value and fit family budgets.
Metrics used measured the quality of education, including graduation rates, access to instructors, and number Pell eligible students; affordability, based on the net price of a degree in different income brackets and amount of student debt taken on; and outcomes, comprised of alumni career earnings, value-added earnings, and economic mobility statistics.
The ranking joins other value-based accolades from national outlets.
In their latest rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked Drew 72nd in the country in value and eighth in social mobility, The Princeton Review named Drew to its Best Value Colleges list for the seventh straight year, Forbes included Drew to its Top Colleges List based on outcomes and value, and Washington Monthly placed Drew 38th in the country for outcomes.
