Only New Jersey school in top 100
September 2026 – Drew University has stayed in strong standing in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of top colleges.
In their 2026 list, U.S. News ranked Drew 85th in the country among liberal arts colleges, marking the fourth straight year in the top 100. Drew was once again the only New Jersey school in the top 100.
In a new category, U.S. News ranked Drew 81st in the country among private colleges. Drew also retained top 100 status for Best Value Schools, coming in at 81st in the country in the category.
Drew continued its rise up the ranks in Social Mobility as well, moving from seventh to sixth among liberal arts schools in the category, which recognizes colleges for enrolling and graduating Pell-eligible students at a high rate.
The U.S. News rankings join a list of recent praise for Drew.
Earlier this month, Washington Monthly put Drew in the top 10 percent of northeastern colleges for outcomes and graduation rate, and top third overall.
Last month, Drew was named to TIME Magazine’s inaugural America’s Best Colleges 2026-27 list, The Princeton Review’s Best 392 Colleges list, Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges list, and Money Magazine’s Best Colleges 2026 list.
